Cooking Method :
Place a pan on the gas stove and put the coriander seeds in a pan with little oil, lentil, pepper, curry tree leaves, fenugreek, cumin, dried chillies and fry them untill they turn brown, after that add 3 or 4 small onions and grind the total mixture.
Add 1 table spoon of oil in a pan and fry the sundakai vathal and manat takkali vattal and store them separately from the pan and leave them alone. In the same oil, add blackgram, Garlic, Onion and cook well and then add dissolving tamarind water, salt and along with it add turmeric powder.
While boiling , add the sundakai vathal and manat takkali vattal mixture which had been prepared before and also add 2 table spoon of oil while boiling.
After finishing the above steps, turn off the flames and dry well.
You can serve this barge with the rice and can have the appalat as side dish. It will be very nice and healthy too. You can also add brinjal and drumstick instead of adding the sundakai vathal and manat takkali vattal. Avoid unhealthy fast foods and enjoy the traditional foods.
